There were many empty rooms in my heart that I was afraid to fill.
A woman who swallowed her anger and sadness so to not ruin her perfectly made up face. The perfectly made up face she could see reflected in the perfect windowpane, overshadowing the flight of her husband's silhouette, riding away from her.
A woman with a perfectly made up face for a perfect performance for the crowd, finding herself sitting in front of her mirror in solitude. She looked herself in her eyes. Red rimmed eyes. Tears would not come. She took a dagger and proceeded to drag the sharp edge down one side of her white powdered face, just to see how that would feel.
A child with a room full of toys, sitting in an extraordinary room with high arches and incredible frescoes. Alone, she felt lonely. Who would come and play with me?
The voices around her told her, anybody who plays with you wants to take some piece of you. Don't let them in. They will steal your toys away and never come back. They are vultures. Protect yourself. Guard your heart.
But a life lived without love feels... empty. Empty rooms. Empty house. Doors are firmly locked. Curtains drawn.
She wants to come alive. She wants to have truly lived.
Not merely surviving unscathed. But truly have known she had given life her all.
And so, she opens up the doors. She lets the air in. There is a flow, a natural abundance of light, coming through now.
People begin to come in. Some of them stay for the party and drinks, others take their leave. She stands at the very top of the stairs and gazes at the motion, and comes down hesitantly at first, to be amongst the people.
It is when she flows with the new light and natural ins and outs of movement that she feels herself breathing free.
She embraces one crowd and another, dancing and whirling, presencing herself to each person. Her words, the glint in her eyes, her ability to listen with her entire being, changes each person's life.
And some stay, others still go.
While all that is happening she continues to dance. She continues to presence herself, whole of her, whole of her heart, full to the brim, never exhausted, never separate.
For the flow of luminescence is endless. There is a power to her that comes from within and connects to the divine love that is available in us all.
The divine Love that vibrates as us, that forms us all into existence.
The Universe stood still for as long as it took for her to hold my hand and thank me for the deliverance of freedom I have gifted her as I forgive myself.
The Universe stood still. And the world shifted for me when I opened my eyes.
There is stillness in chaos when we can perceive it.
There is lack in abundance when we choose to perceive it.
Life is overflowing with choices and miracles when we choose to perceive it.
How will you choose to perceive Life for you?
