Tea Spirit is ever present when a transformation comes.
That transformation often times takes place when we meet our Self in the unconscious.
This space where the Dark Goddess illumines the caverns with Her phosphorescent presence, ready to take us in to rebirth and renew us for the next expanded cycle of consciousness.
Tea Ceremony transcends time to take us back to a place where ancient trees flourished long before the human feet trod this earth.
Shamans have used these leaves as medicine and gateway openers to create the shamanic bridges to bring in luminous threads of insights for their tribes to divine the future.
From the hands of aboriginal shamans, who carried these leaves in their medicinal pouches, to Daoist mystics and Zen monks, all of their fingerprints mark the rituals in the ceremony.
Imbuing the ceremony is the spirit of Tea － the many years of wisdom coming from Mother Gaia, the cosmos, all those ancestors who came before, and those who will come after us.
Tea is Nature. Nature is Tea.
Everything in a Tea Ceremony honours the five elements of nature － wood, fire, earth, metal, water.
And as with everything in nature, the teapot, bowls and utensils would come with beautiful wabi-sabi imperfections.
Each time I sit with Tea, it feels like I have been given a fragment of the vast unknown.
And the next time I come again, the experience would feel so different, with Her gift of another fragment of the Universe again. And so it goes on and on...
Every time we sit for Tea is the first and last time.
I don't teach my clients how to make a good flavoursome Tea to begin with.
I don't even provide them with the utensils because I truly believe they seek you out at the right time and place on their journey.
What I do teach them is to connect with Her Spirit first and foremost so they connect with their own vortex, unattached to external circumstances.
