Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching

〰️

"Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill. Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt. Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench. Care about people's approval and you will be their prisoner. ⁣

Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity. ⁣

🍃⁣

Colours blind the eye. Sounds deafen the ear. Flavours numb the taste. Thoughts weaken the mind. Desires wither the heart. ⁣

The Master observes the world but trusts his inner vision. He allows things to come and go. His heart is open as the sky. ⁣

🌿⁣

The Master doesn't talk, he acts. When his work is done, the people say, 'Amazing: we did it, all by ourselves!'" ⁣
