šš» Why does it take so long to recover, and sometimes, not at all, from disordered eating? ā£
ā£
šš» Why do some choose not to go all in with recovery even when they know what amazingness is on the other side of the road? ā£
ā£
š¹ Change is confrontational. ā£
ā£
ā It is hairy stuff for the ego. The ego would do anything to stay the same because change is not something it loves.ā£
ā£
š£ There is a trapdoor right at the base of the subconscious mind, where old stuck stories are created over and over again.ā£
ā£
š Top that off with the constant changes you are not comfortable seeing and feeling at the beginning of the journey. ā£
ā£
š§āāļø It gets hairy. Real hairy.ā£
ā£
š And so many beings give up right before the step that will take them into full, all-in commitment, and remain where they are.ā£
ā£
Stuck.ā£
ā£
šØ Fear is what keeps you in the same situation. No change means no change. It is that simple.ā£
ā£
I get it. ā£
ā£
Now listen. ā£
ā£
What I can tell you from my own personal experience, is this.ā£
ā£
šYour body is constantly fluctuating in the process of recovery.ā£
ā£
⨠Not only is it happening physically, but it is also moving and turning energetic dials up beyond the surface. ā£
ā£
šÆThis is like the Chambers of your Spirit, body and mind beginning to dust off the phone lines and getting to grips with connecting with each other again. šā£
ā£
ć°ļø It takes time to get the frequency right.ā£
ā£
š It takes courage to stay the course and not hang up too soon.ā£
ā£
š It takes generosity in giving yourself the compassion and love of which you have previously been deprived.ā£
ā£
It takes burning away all judgements.ā£
ā£
š§š»āāļø It takes embodying your promise to your self, and understanding that you can never fail ļ¼ you can only become wiser and more dialled in.ā£
ā£
š„ This moment, this experience, is such a gift because it reminds us of our divinity. It reminds us of our strength in softening, in vulnerability.ā£
ā£
And always, always (as I write this the time showed 11.11!), remember this: when the student is ready, the teacher shows up. šØš»āš«š©š»āš«ā£
ā£
Forget the how.ā£
ā£
You've got to show up first for yourself. ā£
ā£
š Then you've got to cross the bridge of faith.ā£
ā£
š You can't see the way from where you are. ā£
ā£
Step right through, one foot after another, anyway. šā£
ā£
Stop resisting. When the opportunity shows up, f*cking show up.ā£
ā£
F*cking show up for yourself this time and for all.ā£
ā£
Because only you can.ā£

š I help women who are seeking to heal their disordered eating to get out of fearing weight gain, obsession with food, destructive loop of negative self-talk, relapsing over and over again so they can live feeling good about their bodies unconditionally, eat without any guilt and be guided through life by an inner intuitive compass ļ¼ without spending years and years in therapy.ā£
