Behind the facade of a woman who said "I'm doing fine. I can handle it", was a scared little girl who was afraid of admitting the truth of her inner world crumbling.
My abandonment wound would have told me thousands of excuses to not share my truth.
"My work is not good enough."
"I'm so afraid they would call me a b*tch."
"I feel so bad saying that."
"God forbid, I hate the spotlight. I'm totally not fit to lead."
My sense of self was so attached to how I could bend myself backwards for others.
I would so easily abandon myself and appease others, so afraid if I didn't I would be unloved.
Something I recalled a lot was a time when I was probably 4 or 5, wandering around my home alone searching for my mother (she was in the shower, or in another room).
I came back to that lost and frightened child and sat with her in ceremony.
Hugging the me who had self-abandoned so many times before, compassionately telling her I know.
I know she wanted to be kind and a safe place to land for others. I know she wanted to serve.
But there is no need now to prove, to be validated, to be seen.
🤍 It is safe to shine her magnetic powers and bring in the most divine people.
🤍 It is safe for those who do not resonate to fall away.
